Project Description

Laser Resurfacing

SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

Laser Resurfacing is a procedure that is performed to improve the appearance of the skin and conditions such as acne scarring, coarse wrinkles, photodamage, stretch marks, surgical scars, uneven pigment, or to brighten and smooth skin.  Laser resurfacing can be performed on the face and body.  There are two types of lasers used in resurfacing procedures: CO2 and Erbium.

CO2 or carbon dioxide lasers are the most aggressive lasers and used to treat aged or damaged skin, coarse deep wrinkles, deep acne scarring, stretch marks or surgical scars. Depending upon the condition and depth of treatment, the CO2 may have a bit longer recovery than the erbium laser.

The Erbium laser is the most commonly used type of laser and is marketed under many different trade names.  At Skinnicity, we utilize the Fraxel and Clear & Brilliant laser systems.  Erbium lasers are used to treat fine lines, photodamage, mild acne scarring, uneven pigment, large pores, and to smooth and brighten the skin.  At Skinnicity, we are experienced in treating all skin types and ethnicities utilizing all of our lasers.
